This essence has been great. I’ve been using it for a week and I really like it. It goes on after my toner and before my moisturizer, it’s lightweight but feels very hydrating. The bottle is really cute and nice, and I love heartleaf. It has a very, very light scent to it that’s reminiscent of fresh plants. My skin feels and seems less puffy and red, but it’s hard to say because it’s been only a week.Overall I’m really happy with this essence as part of my new skincare routine. I love trying out new products for to see if there’s anything good, so I switch out my products relatively frequently. Of course, I still have my go-tos, but this one has been great!
When I get new lotions, I always do a test on my hands first. This is a fluid lotion that spreads and absorbs quickly, isn't sticky, and it made my hands look about 10 years younger! I couldn't stop touching the tops of my own hands because they felt so soft. I also used on my face, and on a big patch of psoriasis on my head. It has a pump action that dispenses just a tiny amount at a time, so it was perfect for applying to my scalp, and instantly stopped it from itching. On my face I dont' really have any skin issues, but given the response on my scalp, I feel it would obviously be very calming on the face, too, if you are prone to irritation or redness. There really isn't much of a scent, which is great for sensitive skin (and sensitive people).
Soft, lightweight and moisturizing - absorbs well. I haven't used it for a long period of time but I do like it and will continue to use it. It doesn't have a scent to it. It gives a nice glow to your skin and doesn't leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. The bottle is a nice size and seems like it will last a while. I would definitely consider this if you are looking for a moisturizing product that will also help reduce redness and inflammation.
This is the first time I have ever tried a product with Houttuynia Cordata Extract (aka heart leaf). When thinking about soothing and calming serums, first thing that comes to my mind is aloe vera. So I was a bit intrigued about this new ingredient.Product comes well packaged, in a plastic green bottle (1.69 oz) and pump working well. The serum is transparent and scentless. I have applied it day and night after cleansing my face during certain weeks that I noticed some breakouts and has been working wonders. 2 pumps is enough for the face, add one more pump if you want to cover the neck as well.Doing a little research on the first and main ingredients, turns out the components found in the heart leaf have antioxidant, hydrating, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.Made in Korea. (can't go wrong with Korean products after trying 50+ beauty products from many different countries)
